On 13 and 14 September 2017, the Trivadis Performance Days 2017 will take place in Zurich. As in previous years, it will be an exciting event for everybody interested in Oracle performance features. For me, it will be a very special adventure this year.
Normally I try to avoid advertising in my technical blog, but this time it is a special situation for me. I’m proud to be invited as one of the speakers at the Trivadis Performance Days 2017. I will give a presentation about the usage of Oracle Data In-Memory in Data Warehouse environments. Although I talked about this subject on other conferences before, I will prepare this session even more carefully than usual. The quality level of the Performance Days is always first-class, so I want to satisfy this high level with my session, too.
This will not be so easy, when you look at the speakers list of the Trivadis Performance Days 2017. Once again, the list contains some of the best Oracle performance specialists world-wide: Cary Millsap, Christian Antognini, Jonathan Lewis, Lukas Eder, Maria Colgan, Martin Bach, Toon Koppelaars – and me. I’m definitely the “youngster” in this group – not regarding my age, but regarding my experience as an international speaker. Fortunately, I still have two months to extend my presentation and to prepare some nice demo scripts with Oracle In-Memory. I will do my best that my presentation will match the high quality of this event.
But I’m looking forward to the Performance Days in September not only as a speaker, but also as an attendee like the last few years. Till now it was always a pleasure to listen to the presentations of the different speakers, and I’m sure this will be the case again this year.
You can attend the Performance Days in the Swissôtel in Zurich or via live stream in a “Virtual Classroom”. My personal recommendation is to join the event in Zurich and to stay for a weekend in this nice city. If your budget (or your boss) does not allow this option, you can still register to the Virtual Classroom. All sessions are recorded and provided to all attendees of the Performance Days. So, you can listen to all presentations, even those that you missed during the event.
The full agenda and further information about the Performance Days 2017 can be found on the Trivadis Website. Hope to see you soon in Zurich!
